You can’t purchase directly from Forest Garden, but you will find our products in over 3000 retail stores and across the internet. See our where to buy section. Whilst we don’t sell direct, we do fulfil orders to customers’ homes on behalf of the retailers we work with. This means that products don’t have to be shipped to depots or stores unnecessarily and come directly from us to you via our own fleet of vehicles and drivers.

The majority of our products are delivered by our own fleet of vehicles and drivers, we call these DDH deliveries on your confirmation email. On the day before your delivery is due, we will send you a text message advising of a 3 hour estimated time slot for your delivery. On the day of your delivery the driver will aim to call you approximately half an hour prior to delivery.

For some of our smaller products we use a separate delivery partner – Tuffnells. If your product is being delivered by them it will arrive between 8am and 6pm.

Please note that if you live in Scotland and have placed an order for one of our products, we use a delivery company called Streamline. You’ll be contacted directly by us via text or email to confirm your order and Streamline will then communicate separately to confirm your delivery with you.

A selected number of planters are delivered pre-assembled, but unless stated in the product specification the majority of our products arrive flat packed for easy self-assembly.

Depending on what you have ordered there may be some protective packaging, banding or even a delivery crate or pallet with your product. There will also be a fixing pack and product instructions. Please note that our drivers are unable to take away any packaging with them.

We provide an installation service on selected products, you’ll see on this website which products are available with installation and the recommended cost of the product with installation included.

The instructions will be delivered with your product, normally in the fixing pack or in some instances on the back of the product label. Should you require another copy simply find your product on this website and you can quickly download a pdf of the instructions from the product page.

We would like to assure everyone that the safety and wellbeing of our employees and customers is paramount during this unprecedented period. We are working closely with our colleagues, suppliers and retailers to ensure that our work can continue only where it is safe to do so.

At this time, the Government has made it clear that online retail is still open and encouraged, and that hardware stores (and their suppliers) are able to stay open to support the repair and maintenance of homes across the UK, ensuring that they are safe and secure. In addition, they have stated that it is essential that all logistics work – not just those for food and medical supplies – should continue to the greatest extent possible, whilst adhering to guidelines on social distancing, to help keep supply chains in operation.

We take this issue extremely seriously, and are adhering closely to all official advice, including that of Public Health England, in light of the recent outbreak.

Like other manufacturers and retailers, after a thorough review we have put in place a number of rigorous measures and safeguards to ensure the continued safety of our employees and customers.

These include:

  • The introduction of enhanced hygiene practices and safe distancing measures at sites still in operation
  • Limiting the availability of our products to those that can only be safely delivered by a single person, rather than a two-strong team of drivers
  • Switching to contact-free delivery to curbsides only, meaning drivers do not need to enter our customers’ premises – deliveries are contingent on our customers adhering to these procedures
  • All our drivers are equipped with sanitiser and have their temperatures checked before and after delivery work
  • The daily deep-clean of delivery vehicles.

These procedures are being regularly reviewed to ensure they are compliant with the latest advice from the Government and Public Health England.

We run our own Home Delivery service, with our own fleet of vehicles and our own drivers. It means that if you’ve purchased one of our products from a website in most cases it will be delivered directly by us – we typically make about 225,000 deliveries to customers’ homes across the UK every year. We offer an installation service on selected products, so if you’d rather take a back seat when it comes to building, don’t worry.
